Nelf Nelfalite Titan SB
The Nelf Nelfalite Titan SB is a turpentine-based high-gloss lacquer on a silicon basis (SB), ideal for outdoor applications. Thanks to its composition, the Titan SB has enhanced gloss and retains this gloss for a longer period. The Nelf Nelfalite Titan SB is designed to coat wood, metal, and various hard plastics that have been pretreated according to the guidelines. A significant advantage of the Titan SB is its flexibility, which ensures durability.
This product is intended for outdoor use. The ideal application temperature is between 5-30 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 85% or below. Under optimum conditions (20 degrees Celsius), this lacquer is touch-dry after 4 hours and can be painted over after 18 hours. The Nelf Nelfalite Titan SB can be cleaned easily with standard household cleaning products. A major benefit of this lacquer is that it is ready-to-use and does not require thinning.
The Titan SB is recommended for difficult-to-reach areas, such as high places or complex projects. These are often surfaces you want to paint less frequently. The Titan SB helps retain its gloss effectively and provides excellent resistance to weather conditions. It is especially suitable for objects exposed to direct sunlight.
We are an official Nelf dealer and are equipped with the Nelf mixing machine. Nelf is one of the first paint manufacturers in the Netherlands to use electricity in the production of paints. From its inception, Nelf has focused on the professional market. Early on, their products were used to protect carriages, shops, houses, commercial spaces, and factories. Today, Nelf has grown into one of the leading paint brands for professionals.

- Mixable in any possible colour
- Highest gloss level
- Not suitable for indoor use
What is Nelf Nelfalite Titan SB used for?
The Nelf Nelfalite Titan SB is best used to protect doors and frames against weather conditions. It is an easy-to-use product suitable for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts. It delivers an optimal shine with long-lasting results.
Why should I choose alkyd-based lacquer?
For outdoor projects, alkyd lacquer is the ideal product. This type of lacquer offers better resistance to weather conditions, ensuring a longer lifespan than water-based products.
What is the coverage per m² for this product?
The coverage rate for Nelf lacquers is between 12 to 16 m² per litre. However, our experience shows that most painters achieve about 10–12 m² per litre using Nelf lacquer. It's always better to have a little extra paint than to run out.

Which gloss finish do you recommend?
For outdoor projects, high-gloss is the most suitable option. High-gloss lacquer has a longer lifespan, thanks to its smooth surface that repels dirt more effectively and is easier to clean. Gloss levels are measured as follows:
High-gloss (60-90): Best for outdoor use
Satin-gloss (30-60): Ideal for surfaces with minor imperfections
Matte finish (below 30): Generally recommended for indoor use
What brush should I use for alkyd lacquer?
It’s essential to choose the right brush when applying alkyd lacquer to ensure a smooth, even finish. We recommend the VP Platinum Mix Fibre brush, which combines traditional pig bristles with synthetic fibres for optimal results.
What roller should I use?
For a seamless, lint-free finish, high-quality rollers are key. For alkyd lacquer, we recommend the Copenhagen felt roller or the Anza felt roller, both of which provide excellent paint absorption and release.
What primer do I need?
Primer and undercoat essentially serve the same purpose, which is to improve adhesion for the final coat. Using a primer also reduces paint absorption on porous surfaces, allowing you to cover more area per litre of paint, which saves costs.
