VP Fine Textured Paint
De Verfmenger Prof (VP) textured paint adds texture to your walls and ceilings. Its finish effectively masks any imperfections in the surface. VP textured paint contains added sand grains, creating a textured effect on the surface. This product can be applied with either a brush or a roller, both of which can be found alongside the VP textured paint on our website under related products. Textured paint generally requires more paint than regular wall paint, with a usage rate of 3 to 4 m² per litre compared to around 7 m² per litre for normal wall paint. Surfaces coated with textured paint are often more difficult to clean, and it’s common for these to be repainted. The mixing process for textured paint is less precise than it is for regular wall paint due to the product's high texture content, which causes more interaction with pigments in the liquid part. Though calibrated mixing machines are used, slight colour discrepancies may still occur.
Pros and Cons
- Moisture-regulating

Preparation
Before starting your project, we recommend cleaning the surface thoroughly. Use products like St Marc degreaser regardless of whether the surface is concrete, wood, stone, or wallpaper. Cleaning improves paint adhesion, ensuring the best result.
Do I need primer?
Before applying wall paint or latex, determine whether you need primer. You can easily check this yourself by using a damp sponge. If the surface absorbs water, primer is required. If it does not, no further preparation is necessary. Learn more in our blog on how to apply primer.
What surfaces is this product suitable for?
This wall paint is compatible with various surfaces. For absorbent surfaces, always apply primer first. Suitable for surfaces such as concrete, plaster, drywall, brick, Renovlies wallpaper, fibreglass wallpaper, masonry, interior walls, and exterior walls.
Which roller do I need?
To achieve a smooth and even finish with wall paint, it’s essential to use the right roller. We recommend the Toptex wall paint roller, which performs best in our tests. Find out more about choosing the best roller for your project.
