Which gloss level do you recommend?
Sikkens Rubbol BL Rezisto Mat provides a velvety matte finish. Sikkens Rubbol BL Rezisto Mat is matte and is now perfectly suitable for indoor use. Previously, Sikkens Rubbol BL Rezisto Satin was mainly used indoors, but with the new Sikkens Rubbol BL Rezisto Mat and Sikkens Rubbol BL Rezisto High Gloss, there are now plenty of options to combine gloss levels as well as colours.
A high-gloss lacquer should have a gloss level of 60 to 90. A satin finish has a gloss level of 30 to 60, and a matte paint should remain below 30. These values are measured by the manufacturer. In some cases, we recommend a satin lacquer. This is advised when the surface is not 100% smooth. Inexperienced DIYers also often choose satin lacquer, as it is easier to hide small imperfections in the surface.
