Which brush do I need?
The right brush is essential for the best result. A suitable brush ensures a seamless painting finish due to the optimal absorption and release of paint. The fibres of a brush play a major role in this. The VP all-round synthetic brush is the right choice for this paint because it contains the right fibres for the best result. This brush is made up of a combination of traditional pig bristles and selected synthetic fibres.
Which paint roller do I need?
A good wall paint roller prevents lint and unevenness in your paintwork. That’s why we recommend using the Toptex wall paint roller. Curious why a good wall paint roller is essential? Read all about it in our blog: which wall paint roller to use for your project.

For ceilings, we always recommend a wall paint specifically developed for ceilings. This is because ceilings require very specific properties. A "normal" wall paint does not always have these properties. What are the important properties for a ceiling? Coverage is crucial for ceilings and must always be the highest class (class 1). If it is a lower class, the chances of streaks and lines are much higher. Additionally, drying time is important. A wall paint that dries quickly (contains a lot of chalk) will result in streaks and lines, which are always visible on a ceiling when viewed in direct light. This is called grazing light. A wall paint that dries slowly and evenly solves this problem.
What is Grazing Light?
Grazing light is visible when you look at the ceiling in direct light. Grazing light is problematic when using wall paint with a high chalk content. These types of products provide good coverage but dry too quickly, causing some layers to be double-rolled. This results in thickened areas that remain visible when viewed directly in the light. TIP: Always use a wall paint with a slow drying time for ceilings to avoid this issue.
Which Surfaces Can It Be Applied To?
This wall paint is suitable for multiple surfaces. For absorbent surfaces, always apply a primer first. Suitable for: Concrete, Plaster, Plasterboard, Brick, Renovlies wallpaper, Fibreglass wallpaper, Masonry, Interior walls, Exterior walls.
Pre-Treatment
Before starting your project, we recommend always cleaning the surface. For example, use St Marc degreaser. Regardless of the surface you are treating, whether it’s concrete, wood, stone, or wallpaper, always clean it first to ensure the best adhesion.
Do I Need a Primer?
Before treating your wall with wall paint/latex, it’s important to determine whether you need a primer. The good news is that you can figure this out yourself by performing a simple test. Take a wet sponge and press it against the wall. If the wall absorbs the water, a primer is needed. If the wall does not absorb moisture, no pre-treatment is required. For more tips and detailed instructions, check out our blog on applying primer.
