Is it Den Braven or Bostik?
Since its establishment in 1974, Bostik Benelux B.V. (formerly Den Braven) has specialised in the ISO-certified production of high-quality sealants, adhesives, PU foams, and technical sprays for the construction and industrial sectors. Our products are marketed under the brand names Bostik, Zwaluw, and Hercuseal, as well as private labels for various partners.
The former Den Braven became part of the Bostik/Arkema group in December 2016. Bostik is one of the largest manufacturers of adhesives and sealants globally, employing around 5,000 people across 50 countries on five continents.
What is the coverage of Den Braven Acryl Wet on Wet?
Calculating sealant usage can be difficult. However, you can determine the required amount using a simple formula that factors in the length, height, and depth of the joint. For example, if the joint is 5 metres long, 10 millimetres high, and 5 millimetres deep, you calculate 5 x 10 x 5 = 250 millilitres. On average, one 330ml cartridge covers about 6 metres of joint.
How should I apply Den Braven Sealant?
Apply the sealant using a caulking gun. Cut the tip of the cartridge with a utility knife. Attach the nozzle to the opening of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at an angle that matches the desired width.
Insert the cartridge into the caulking gun, and apply a consistent bead from left to right. Avoid using too much sealant. Moisten your finger with soapy water and gently smooth out the bead. Do not press too hard to maintain a water-shedding joint.
Is Den Braven Acryl Wet on Wet paintable?
Yes, this sealant is paintable as soon as it is applied. It does not need to dry, so you can paint over it immediately. When painted with a chosen colour, the shade will remain true.
Are there alternatives for this product?
Seal-it 325 Pro-Paint: This versatile sealant is suitable for almost all applications. It is also paintable and does not crack while drying.
