Anker Stuy History

Our story began with Adriaan Stuy, who, with great vision and entrepreneurial spirit, founded the company A. Stuy Paint and Snowcem Dealer. From a modest office on the Molenwal, this initiative grew into the thriving Stuy Paints we know today.
A turning point came in 1962 with the construction of a new premises on Hoofdstraat. The expansion of production capacity and the ability to mix paints boosted the company’s growth considerably. The variety of projects, clientele, and market share only increased, leading to impressive revenue growth.
Later, the move to Terwispel marked the start of a new chapter. Our current headquarters were established in a former dairy factory, and after extensive renovations, a new era began in 1976 with the start of production in this facility.
