Step-by-Step Guide

1. Step 1. Preparation:
   

   Preparation is key! "A good start is half the battle," and this is particularly true for achieving a flawless metallic finish. Gather all necessary materials, such as a brush and roller, painter's tape, protective film, and of course, metallic paint! Start by covering the area with protective film and painter's tape to avoid paint splatters where they aren't wanted.

   
   
2. Step 2. Degrease and Sand:
   

   The next important step is degreasing and sanding the surface. Always degrease the surface before sanding to avoid pushing dirt into the material's pores. Once the surface is sanded, dust it off thoroughly.

   
   
3. Step 3. Apply Primer or Base Coat:
   

   Check the condition of the surface. A primer or base coat is often necessary if the old paint layer is degraded or if the wood is bare. However, if the existing paint is still in good condition, primer or base coat may not be required.

   
   
4. Step 4. Apply Top Coat:
   

   The final step is applying the metallic paint. Paint from left to right and top to bottom, working wet-on-wet to ensure a smooth, streak-free finish. Sometimes, one coat is sufficient, but for optimal results, applying a second layer may be a good idea.
