The best bathroom paint deals with us
The bathroom paints from our own brand VP (Verfmenger Prof) are relatively affordable compared to brands like Sikkens paint or Sigma paint. VP offers an excellent price-quality ratio, as all our paints have coverage class 1 and are priced at the lower end of the market. We collaborate with leading manufacturers to develop our own products. Since these are our proprietary products, we can determine the prices ourselves, making this professional brand affordable. Another product we recommend at Verfmenger is the Pastolex renovation wall paint, which is resistant to mould and can cover stains directly. You can also find the best bathroom paint deals weekly on our webshop.

Advice from the professional
There are two common issues in the bathroom. The first is mould on the ceiling; for this, we recommend bathroom wall paint.
Want to protect plastered walls from moisture and cleaning products? Then we advise using a transparent PU coating that resists chemicals and can handle hot water.
Tip from Verfmenger
If you have stains or mould in your bathroom, always treat the stains first until they are completely gone. Then, coat the entire ceiling or wall with bathroom paint. Previously visible stains won’t return, and new mould growth will be slowed by a special ingredient in the product.
What is bathroom paint?
Bathroom paint refers to paints that are resistant to moisture-prone areas and can prevent mould. Some of these paints can also be used to cover nicotine stains. These paints are easily washable, like the Pastolex renovation wall paint. For optimal results, apply two coats to combat all problem substances.
Tip from Verfmenger
Measure in advance how many square metres you need to paint. Calculate this by multiplying the length by the width of your surface. Each primer covers 6m² per litre. Therefore, 10 litres of primer will cover 60 square metres. Always check if your wall is absorbent and whether you need a primer.
What types of bathroom paint are available?
There aren’t many different types of bathroom paints since they all serve a similar purpose. The goal of bathroom paint is to combat moisture and prevent mould formation.
Bathroom wall paint: Bathroom paints are intended for indoor use and are designed to finish your walls. These wall paints are always water-based (acrylic) and can be applied directly over primer or even on damp walls with stains or mould.
Washable wall paint: Washable wall paint is a special category of wall paints. Wall paints are categorised by their scrub class, ranging from 5 to 1, with class 1 being the best. If you have a scrub class 1 paint, you can easily clean your wall with a cloth without damaging the paint layer, extending the paint’s lifespan. A scrub class is determined using a machine that rubs a scouring sponge over the paint layer. The longer the layer remains intact, the higher the scrub class.
What bathroom paint brands are available?
Relius: Relius is a relatively unknown brand among individuals in the UK since it is primarily used by professional painters. However, it stands out from other brands in the wall paint category. This is because Relius paint offers a wide range for all surfaces. Their bathroom paints are also of high quality.
Pastolex: Pastolex provides excellent bathroom paints in terms of price-quality ratio. Pastolex paints are relatively inexpensive compared to other brands yet deliver top-quality products. For instance, the Pastolex renovation wall paint is perfect for bathrooms with mould issues or spaces with nicotine stains.
VP: VP stands for Verfmenger Prof, our own brand developed in collaboration with professional manufacturers. These VP wall paints are high-quality products as they all have coverage class 1, with some even achieving scrub class 1. Our own brand is sold at a budget-friendly price.
