Do I Always Need to Thin Paint?
No, it’s not always necessary, but you can if needed. For concrete paints used on floors, Verfmenger recommends thinning the first coat. For alkyd paints (solvent-based), you can thin the paint or lacquer with white spirit to improve the flow of the product.
