Relius Clean Coat 5 uses the latest technology without the use of plasticisers. Additionally, it is a washable wall paint that does not contain solvent-based substances.
What is the coverage per m² for this product?
The coverage of Relius is 7 to 8 m² per litre. However, in our experience, most painters achieve similar coverage within this range. It is always better to have a bit more paint than to run out partway through your project.
Is Relius Clean Coat 5 a single-component product with properties of a two-component paint?
There are painters who claim that a washable wall paint does not exist. Relius has proven otherwise with its single-component product that possesses the same properties as a two-component paint. This offers distinct advantages, as application becomes much easier since it is simply a "wall paint."
Why is Clean Coat 5 only available in light colours?
We can mix any light colour using our tinting system. Simply select your colour of choice using our colour picker. To maintain quality, the manufacturer has opted not to produce Clean Coat 5 in dark shades. Dark colours require at least 10% pigment to achieve the right hue. While the pigment provides colour, it compromises the product’s quality. Relius Clean Coat 5 must always deliver top performance, particularly in hospitals and schools, which is why the decision was made to offer it exclusively in lighter shades.
What surfaces is this product suitable for?
This wall paint can be applied to various surfaces. For absorbent substrates, always use a primer first. Suitable for surfaces such as concrete, plaster, plasterboard, brick, reinforced wallpaper, fibreglass wallpaper, masonry, interior walls, and exterior facades.

Before starting your project, we recommend cleaning the surface thoroughly. Use a degreaser such as St. Marc to ensure proper adhesion, regardless of whether you’re painting concrete, wood, stone, or wallpaper.
Do I need a primer?
Before applying wall paint or latex, it is important to determine whether you need a primer. This can be easily done by performing a water absorption test. Press a wet sponge against the wall.
