Why should I choose a water-based enamel?
For indoor use, acrylic enamel is the ideal product. It does not emit odours during application, and because it contains no turpentine, your colours will not yellow over time.
What is the coverage per m² for this product?
The coverage of Relius enamels is between 12 to 16 m² per litre. However, from experience, most painters cover 10 to 12 m² per litre when using Relius enamels. It’s better to have a little extra paint than to run out.
When is the best time to apply Relius Hydro-PU Mattlack?
The ideal application temperature is between 5-30°C, with a maximum humidity of 85%. Under optimal conditions (20°C), this enamel is ready for overpainting after 6 hours, making it perfect for weekend projects. It comes pre-mixed and ready to use. However, if preferred, it can be thinned with water or an acrylic thinner.
Why doesn’t Relius Hydro-PU Mattlack yellow indoors?
We recommend using water-based enamels indoors. These enamels do not produce odours during application and do not yellow over time, unlike enamels based on turpentine. Additionally, water-based paints generally dry faster, making them highly efficient for interior use.
