Koopmans Bangkirai Oil is used for treating and protecting hardwood furniture and decking. Koopmans Bangkirai Oil provides a beautiful brown appearance and ensures the wood does not grey.
What is the coverage per m² for this product?
Koopmans Bangkirai Oil covers approximately 6m² per litre. This depends on the wood’s absorption rate. Apply the oil with a brush and treat it with an old cloth after 10 minutes.
How many coats of oil should I apply?
We recommend applying 2 coats of Koopmans Oil for optimal protection. This should be repeated every 2 to 3 years with one coat.
What is wood greying?
When untreated wood is exposed to the harsh sun, it will eventually start greying, which can happen within a few months. To prevent greying, treat the wood with oil or a clear stain.

P.K. Koopmans was founded in 1885 in Ferwerd, a small Friesian village. At the time, the first products were made in a residential home. The founder of Koopmans Paint is Klaas Piet Koopmans. Today, this is an enormous factory. Over the years, Koopmans has produced a variety of products, with Koopmans Perkoleum still being the most recognised.
Some of the products produced are Koopmans Perkoleum and Koopmans Extralux. Today, Koopmans Paint is based in Marrum, where their impressive factory produces all Koopmans, Drenth, and Nelf products.

It is best to apply oil with a block brush or stain brush.
What paint roller do I need?
Oil can be applied with a roller, although it is not common due to its thin consistency. If you choose to use a roller, opt for a nylon roller.
