Which brush should I use?
When applying acrylic paint and varnish, it is important to choose the right brush. The correct brush ensures an even application with optimal absorption and release. We recommend the VP Platinum Allround brush, which has the right fibres for the best results. This brush is made from a combination of traditional pig bristles and selected synthetic fibres.
Which roller should I use?
To achieve a smooth and even finish, a roller can be highly effective. For working with acrylic paint, we recommend using a VP Superflock topcoat roller for optimal absorption and release.
When should I use it?
Verfijn Douglas Stain is ideal for garden structures like sheds or fences. It can be applied in almost any outdoor area. Being water-based makes it more environmentally friendly, and the quick-drying formula ensures the task can be finished efficiently.
How do I apply this stain?
Step 1:
Ensure the wood is properly cleaned with a product like B Clean. If the wood has already greyed, lightly sand it using a scouring pad.
Step 2:
For untreated wood, we recommend applying 2 to 3 coats of Verfijn Douglas Stain.
For treated wood, 1 to 2 coats should suffice.
Which types of wood can it be applied to?
Verfijn Douglas Stain is mainly intended for softer types of wood, particularly Douglas wood and Larch wood.

What is the product coverage per m²?
The coverage of Verfijn Douglas Stain is 14 to 16 m² per litre. However, our experience indicates that most painters estimate a usage rate of 12 to 14 m² per litre. It is always better to have a bit extra than run out during the application process.
