Product description

Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain

Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain is used for protecting and adding colour to scaffolding wood. This stain penetrates deep into the wood, offering optimal protection from within. Being fully water-based, Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain is more environmentally friendly compared to other scaffolding wood stains. It is available in a selection of standard colours.

Pros and Cons

  • Prevents greying
  • Water-repellent
  • Enhances wood grain
  • Very thin, making it occasionally tricky to apply

What is Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain used for?

Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain is suitable for protecting and colouring soft woods, such as those used in scaffolding wood furniture. It brings out the wood structure beautifully and provides a characteristic appearance. Besides scaffolding wood furniture, this stain is also ideal for scaffolding wood planters or fences.

How do I apply Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain?

Step 1 Ensure the wood is properly degreased using a cleaner such as B Clean. If the wood is weathered, use a sanding pad for light sanding. Step 2 We recommend applying two coats of scaffolding wood stain. Generally, the first coat will be absorbed by the wood immediately, while the second coat provides the final protection and colour.

What surfaces can I apply Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain to?

Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain can be applied to any softwood. Suitable wood types include the following. Scaffolding wood Douglas wood Larch wood Spruce wood Pinewood

What colours is Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain available in?

Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain is available in three colours. White Wash Grey Wash Anthracite

What is the coverage per m² of this product?

Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain covers 12 to 14m² per litre for one coat.

How many coats of scaffolding wood stain should I apply?

We recommend applying two coats of Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain on bare wood. For scaffolding wood previously treated with stain, one additional coat is sufficient.

What brush should I use for acrylic stains?

When applying acrylic paint, stains, or lacquer, it’s crucial to choose the right brush. A good brush ensures even application with the best absorption and release. We recommend the VP Synthetic Brush, which is made from selected synthetic fibres for optimal results.

What paint roller should I use?

We recommend applying Tenco Scaffolding Wood Stain with a brush. However, if you choose to use a roller, go for a nylon roller.
