CWS Unigrund
CWS Unigrund is an excellent multiprimer that also offers moisture-regulating properties. This can be particularly useful when paired with a moisture-regulating topcoat. CWS Unigrund is easy to apply and allows for excellent sanding. After applying CWS Unigrund, you can finish with any topcoat (alkyd-based).

CWS paints generally provide coverage between 12 and 14 m² per litre. However, most painters report practical use at 10 to 12 m² per litre. It’s better to have a little extra paint than to run out during application.
Which brush should I use for alkyd paint?
For alkyd paints and lacquers, it’s essential to select the right brush. The proper brush ensures even application with optimal absorption and release. We recommend the VP Platinum Mix Fibre Brush, combining traditional pig bristles with select synthetic fibres for top-quality results.
Which roller should I use?
To achieve a smooth and uniform finish without lint in your paintwork, it’s important to use the correct roller. Absorption and release are key. For alkyd paints or lacquer, we recommend the Copenhagen Velvet Roller or the Anza Velvet Roller.
