Avis Aqua Multiprimer
Avis Aqua Multiprimer is intended for indoor use. This is a primer for a coat of paint on wood, metal, hard plastics, and other challenging surfaces. This multiprimer is a water-based (acrylic) primer. It improves the bond between the surface and the paint, delivering a superior final effect. Additionally, this primer won’t emit unpleasant odours in your home because of its water-based composition. We can mix this primer in any colour. Avis Multiprimer is quick-drying, moisture-regulating, and offers excellent flow. This product can be applied perfectly with a brush or roller. Alongside Avis products, De Verfmenger also supplies Sikkens products. Don’t miss out on our Sikkens offers.

Frequently Asked Questions about this Product
Which brush should I use?
When applying acrylic paint and varnish, it’s crucial to select the right brush. The correct brush ensures even application with optimal absorption and release of paint. We recommend the VP All-Round Synthetic Brush, which features a blend of synthetic fibres for the best results.
Which roller should I use?
To achieve a smooth and even finish with a roller, avoiding lint or imperfections is vital. Absorption and release properties play a key role. For use with acrylic paint or lacquer, we recommend the VP Superflock Acrylic Roller.
What is Avis?
AVIS has a long and rich heritage. Established in 1701, the brand is named after the Avis family from the Zaan region. While many paint brands originated here, most have disappeared over time. The Avis family began producing linseed oil from flaxseed in 1724 at the windmill “De Koperslager.” Destroyed by fire in 1964, the windmill was never rebuilt. By that time, production had already moved to a modern factory in Westzaan at the end of the 19th century. Around the 20th century, Avis also opened facilities along Amsterdam’s Brouwersgracht.
When should I use it?
Avis Aqua Multiprimer is ideal for priming all interior woodwork, such as doors, stairs, and window frames. Additionally, it is suitable for priming challenging surfaces like metal and plastic. This primer enhances the bond between the surface and the topcoat, creating a much tidier final result. Avis Aqua Multiprimer is easy to use, making it suitable for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.
What are the benefits of water-based lacquer?
Acrylic lacquer is perfect for interior painting tasks. It doesn’t give off unpleasant odours during application and won’t cause colours to yellow as it contains no turpentine.
What is the coverage per m²?
The coverage of Avis paints ranges from 12 to 14 m² per litre. However, based on experience, most painters achieve coverage of 10 to 12 m² per litre. It’s always better to have a little extra paint than run short.
What colours can it be mixed in?
We can mix any colour using our advanced mixing machines. Simply choose your desired colour via our colour picker or contact us. We exclusively use official mixing machines and corresponding pigments for Avis paints and lacquers.
Which lacquer should I use?
To ensure compatibility, we recommend sticking to the same brand as the primer. Avis offers three types of water-based lacquers, including Avis Aqua PU Lacquer. You can select your preferred finish from high gloss, satin, or matte.
Are there alternatives?
Sikkens Rubbol BL Rezisto Primer: This is a similar water-based primer that pairs well with Sikkens’ BL Rezisto lacquer range, such as Sikkens Rubbol BL Rezisto Satin.
VP Platina Multiprimer: This is a water-based primer developed under our own brand. Its competitive pricing makes it an excellent choice for challenging surfaces without compromising on quality.
