Which surfaces is this product suitable for?
Siloxan Matt offers optimal adhesion on various mineral substrates and can be applied directly to materials such as brick, sand-lime brick, and cement-based plasters. For highly absorbent surfaces, such as certain types of brick and plaster, we recommend using a primer first. This aids in equalising absorption, improves adhesion, and extends the lifespan of the paint and substrate. This ensures a smooth and durable result.
Do I need a primer?
For absorbent substrates, using a primer is essential. Primers improve adhesion and create uniform absorption across the surface. If the façade already has a well-adhered coat of paint, a primer may not be necessary, and you can proceed with applying the final coat.
Which brush should I use?
For an even application of wall paint, the right brush is crucial. The VP synthetic all-round brush contains a blend of traditional pig bristles and synthetic fibres. These fibres provide excellent paint pickup and release, allowing Siloxan Matt to dry evenly.
