VP Extreme Clean Matt is ideal for spaces with heavy use, such as hallways, living rooms, or kitchens. It has been one of the best-selling wall paints among our painters for years, offering immediate coverage, easy maintenance, and sprayability.
What is the coverage per m² for this product?
The coverage of VP Extreme Clean Matt is 7 to 8 m² per litre. However, our experience suggests that most painters achieve a coverage of 6 to 7 m² per litre. It’s always better to have too much paint than not enough.

What surfaces is this product suitable for?
This wall paint is suitable for multiple surfaces. For absorbent surfaces, always apply a primer first. Suitable surfaces include Concrete, Plasterwork, Plasterboard, Brickwork, Renovlies wallpaper, Fibreglass wallpaper, Masonry, Interior walls, Exterior facades.
Pre-treatment
Before starting your project, we recommend cleaning the surface thoroughly. Use a product like St Marc Degreaser. Regardless of the surface material (concrete, wood, stone, or wallpaper), proper cleaning ensures optimal adhesion.
Do I need a primer?
Before painting your wall with wall paint/latex, it’s important to determine if a primer is required. You can check this yourself with a simple test. Use a wet sponge and press it against the wall. If the wall absorbs the water, a primer is needed. If not, pre-treatment isn’t necessary. Find more tips and advice on our blog about applying primer.
What brush should I use for wall paint?
For applying wall paint, the right brush ensures even application and optimal absorption/release. The VP Synthetic All-Round Brush is the perfect choice, combining traditional pig hairs and selected synthetic fibres for the best results.
What paint roller should I use?
Use a high-quality wall paint roller to ensure a smooth, even finish. You won’t want to have lint sticking to your freshly painted wall. Absorption and release are key factors. We recommend the Toptex Wall Paint Roller for latex applications. It consistently performs best in our testing. Learn more in our blog on which wall paint roller to use for your job.
