Where can I use VP Road Paint?
It’s ideal for marking lines on asphalt, concrete, or to isolate stains. This road paint allows you to mark road surfaces made of asphalt, concrete, or stone. For larger areas, we advise using concrete paint or a concrete coating instead. Road paint is strictly for marking and not intended for covering larger surfaces. We can mix our road paint in any colour, though white is the only standard colour.
What is the coverage per m² of this product?
VP Road Paint covers 8 to 10 m² per litre. However, based on real-world experience, most painters achieve coverage of 6 to 8 m² per litre. It’s better to have slightly more paint than not enough. We recommend applying two coats in a cross-hatch pattern to ensure proper adhesion and coverage. Keep in mind, the first coat will be absorbed more due to the porous nature of the surface. The second coat will have better coverage, and one coat will never be enough to achieve the right thickness. Always apply two or three coats.
Which brush should I use for alkyd-based paint?
When using alkyd paint or lacquer, it’s essential to choose the right brush for even application. The correct brush ensures smooth application with optimal absorbency and release. We believe the VP Platinum Mixed Fibre Brush provides the best results. This brush combines traditional pig bristles with selected synthetic fibres.
Which paint roller should I use?
Using a roller helps achieve a smooth and even finish. No one wants lint stuck in their painted surface. Absorbency and release are key. For alkyd paint or lacquer, we recommend the Copenhagen felt roller or the Anza felt roller.
