Nelfalite Xtreme PU Gloss is a lacquer suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This lacquer can be mixed in any colour you desire. For painters who prefer not to work with water-based paints, the Xtreme PU Gloss is ideal. Its resistance to yellowing ensures that this turpentine-based lacquer discolours much less over time. Nelfalite Xtreme PU Gloss offers exceptional opacity, excellent levelling, and provides protection for up to 6 years.
This product is easy to clean using your usual household cleaning products. The ideal application temperature is between 5 and 30 degrees Celsius, with a maximum humidity of 85%. Under optimal conditions (20 degrees Celsius), the lacquer is ready for recoating after 18 hours, making it possible to complete your project over a weekend. Another great advantage of this lacquer is that it comes ready to use and requires no thinning.

Which paint roller do I need?
For a smooth and even finish, using the right roller is essential. Nobody wants to deal with lint stuck in their paint. The absorption and release of paint is key. For working with Alkyd-based paints or lacquers, we recommend the Copenhagen Lacquer Roller or the Anza Felt Roller.

Nelf lacquers typically offer a coverage of 12 to 16 m² per litre. From experience, however, most painters achieve a coverage of approximately 10 to 12 m² per litre with Nelf lacquers. It’s always better to have a little extra paint rather than running out mid-project.

Which gloss level do you recommend?
A high-gloss finish is most suitable for outdoor lacquers due to its durability. The smooth surface resists dirt and is easy to clean. Gloss levels are typically measured on a scale:
High-gloss (60–90): Perfect for outdoor use
Silk gloss (30–60): Ideal for irregular or uneven surfaces
Matt (below 30): Best for indoor applications
For surfaces that are less than perfect, or for beginners, silk gloss can be an excellent alternative as it helps conceal minor imperfections more effectively.
